Archiving versus freezing tracks

If a midi track is playing through a soft synth instrument track and the soft synth instrument track has audio effects in it effect bin, what is the difference in the impact on the CPU between.

• Archiving the midi track and the instrument track.

versus

• freezing the midi track

I know that archived tracks are muted. I was just wondering about the different in the impact on the CPU.
